Thinking through ellipses
Claire Lofting, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design
This paper takes as its starting point two different but related styles of writing seen in the work of students with dyslexia in an art and
design context. These styles of writing are discussed in terms of what is not said, of ellipses. This paper attempts to think through these ellipses
at both a pragmatic and conceptual level and in doing so attempts to think through the gaps, the ellipses between ‘theory’ and ‘support’.
